This power supply looks nice, yet the review didn't nuts and bolts it all that deeply.
Shucks, looks like jonnyguru.com went more popular, less useful for PSU tests. Sigh.

So, are modular PSU's all that, do you need to worry about rail balance at all? Just asking.

A modular PSU is NOT the same as a multiply regulated PSU.

The 'Modular' moniker simply refers to the cable management scheme. Depending on the design of the regulator, you may or may not still have to worry about balancing the load on the rails to maintain proper regulation.

I kinda figured that load balancing could be an issue with the multiple plug variety. I've stayed away from them so far, but who knows the future? Thanks for the info, Gizmo!

I wonder how well PC Power & Cooling is handling the new plethora of PSU's? Bet they've dropped their prices at least a little.

I mean, how long has NZXT been making power supplies? And who the heck are they, and should we care?

Raise your hand if you use a PSU from NZXT, please. You like, not like?

Did they actually build it is the question. many of the "name" brand supplies are brown bagged.

many of these companies cannot afford to branch off into a new line such as power supplies.
