Many of the apps for the iPhone are either throw-away rubbish, or just don't work properly. A small minority are good. Will surely be much the same situation for this iPad. It's just another computer, and not revolutionary. |

Looks like the Dev's are the only one's excited about it. LOL seriously?!?! You came out with THAT?!?! I don't think it will take off.... but, I've been wrong before.

Err, hold on. So a company who produces software to allow developers to deploy cross platform apps (such as iPhone, Android, etc) with less hassle runs such a survey. Given that the "crazy" development is likely to just be a recompile (if that), then err, it's hardly news. So, if I get this right, what they're actually saying is: Developers think redeploying the same apps on the iPad is a cheap way to make money.

I'm wondering where you put it! Seems like it's fairly vulnerable when traveling and if it doesn't travel well...what do you need it for?

The ONLY thing that would even got me thinking of getting one is for my wife to read books on. But... then again, I could just save $200 and get her a Kendal.

I think the Kindle is better for eBooks, the screen is more book-like, as in it doesn't glow, plus the battery lasts for ages. |
