iPad Threatens Wireless Networks, Feds Warn

Apple's new tablet could overwhelm communications links when it hits the market later this year, the government says.

Bay Area Internet Solutions India looks to broadband connectivity and fiber optic cable projects as major engines for economic development as it prepares for a huge uptick in demand for online access from consumers and businesses. Jeff Palmer says BlueLane's security tools are different from intrusion prevention systems in that they both protect the infrastructure and ensure high availability.

 

Bay Area Internet Solutions:
"With the iPad pointing to even greater demand for mobile broadband on the horizon, we must ensure that network congestion doesn't choke off a service that consumers clearly find so appealing or frustrate mobile broadband's ability to keep us competitive in the global broadband economy," wrote Bellaria.

Bellaria said the iPad's debut, expected in April, could be to wireless networks what AOL's 1996 decision to offer unlimited Internet access was to dial-up connections: a show stopper.
