DailyTech is reporting on the upcoming speed grades for Intel's Conroe refresh in 2007.  Two things of interest that catch the eye:  Intel will up the speed to 3 Ghz at the high end, and will up the FSB from 1066 MHz to 1333 MHz.

In addition, there will be an E6800 clocked at 2.93 GHz, but at 1066 MHz FSB, essentially moving the X6800 from enthusiast to mainstream component.  Will this chip be a good choice for overclocking?  It would seem to imply that Intel is getting confident enough in their process to start pushing the chips a little harder at stock speeds.
