AMD is warning investors and analysts of a weaker than expected fourth quarter.  AMD blames an average selling price which was significantly lower than the previous quarter for the shortfall, and is indicating that it will see an increase in total revenues of about 3%, but a decrease in net profit.  This comes despite a substantial increase in unit sales.

So, who didn't see that one coming?

Wall street watcher Lehman Brothers on Monday indicated that they still expect AMD to have a strong 2007 , and to continue putting pressure on Intel.  I wonder if they are going to change their tune a little now?
