The Register has spotted a warning of a potential security flaw in the FireFox browser.  It would seem that manually allowing a popup could expose the system to data theft.  Version 1.5.0.9 of the browser is affected, and other versions could be too.

In general, leaving popups blocked is a good idea.  However, some sites insist on using popups as part of their functionality.  Perhaps, such sites should be avoided.
