Monitor panel prices may further jump, makers cautious Max Wang, Taipei; Carrie Yu, DIGITIMES [Tuesday 29 May 2007]
Prices for 17- and 19-inch monitor panels are likely to increase further in June, with some makers already offering a quote increase of US$10 for the segments, according to industry sources. With the price increase, the ASPs (average selling prices) for 17- and 19-inch panels will reach US$125 and US$145, respectively, the sources said. Quotes for the segments already jumped US$8-19 in the beginning of May after rising since March, the sources noted. The sources said it is not difficult for panel makers to raise prices further by US$10 since demand for the two sizes is still strong. More
