RIP Performance Ratings
DailyTech are reporting that AMD will drop the long-standing performance rating monikers for it's chip line up.

The first two chips to make use of the new naming scheme will be the AMD X2 BE-2350 and BE-2300 models.

The new naming scheme will allow AMD to easily differentiate between processor families, speeds and TDP (Thermal Design Power)

The new naming scheme will use the first two letters to designate processor family and TDP. the BE series has been designated to have a TDP of less than 65 Watts and the new BE-2350 and BE-2300 chips both have TDP ratings of 45 Watts, with futher processor classes being introduced as they are required.
