WD has finally launched their own 750GB 3.5" hard drive. This follows Seagate's 750GB drive, which was launched around a year ago now.

Expect to pay about $250 in the US, or £150 in the UK, for the WD drive, possibly less than that before too long.

Currently, the largest capacity consumer drives are 1TB in size.  Hitachi makes a Deskstar 1TB drive with a 32MB cache, for those who just can't bear to hit the delete key.
