Join OCIA in taking a look at these memory sticks:

One of the benefits of the 64 bit platform is it's ability to go beyond this 4 GB barrier. For example, Vista Ultimate 64 bit is capable of supporting 128 GB + of system memory. For this very reason, we will be using Vista Ultimate 64 bit today as we take a look at the OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 Platinum Quad Kit.

Read the full review at OCIA:

The Platinum Quad Kit comes in a nice retail package that shows each memory stick inside, both on the front and back of the package. The rear of the box describes the quad kit and how it is optimized for 64 bit applications, as well as mentioning performance, quality and support information. A list of awards from review sites can also be found here. As you can see, once out of the package, the memory isn't much more than two sets of 2 GB Dual Channel Kits.

The Platinum Quad Kit comes with all of the features you have come to expect from OCZ. It all starts with a lifetime warranty. This kit features EVP (Extended Voltage Protection) which allows users to use a memory voltage up to 2.2V without voiding this lifetime warranty. The heatspreaders used on this memory are platinum mirrored XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) which are optimized for maximum airflow, and thus, better overall cooling.
