Another mighty blow to Toshiba's HD formatSusan Chronister, a movie buyer for Walmart, has announced her employer's plans to drop HD-DVD completely in favour of Blu-ray. For those who don't know, Walmart is a massive retailer in the U.S., and also owns ASDA in the UK. So, this news will surely cause a few tears in the already war battered HD-DVD camp.
Chronister says, " I am very excited about this news!! This decision will make my job so much easier." Of course, an outright winner in the format war will make many of our lives a little easier. So, if you're looking in to a HD movie player, you're best bet is to go for Blu-ray. Presently, the Sony PS3 is the favoured player given that you can play games on it too. [More...] [Comments...] |
