OCWorkbench see what this board can do:

ECS, the well known manufacturer of mid range boards released it's ECS P45T-A right after Computex Taipei. On first sight, the board is part of the Black series which ECS is trying to promote in the past half year. They have some success with their first Back label board, the A780GM earlier this year.

So, what does P45T-A got to offer as a mainstream product ? Will it be another competitive cost/performance board that most users are looking for?

The ECS P45T-A is based on the Intel P45/ICH10R chipsets. It supports the CPU LGA775 socket for latest Intel® Yorkfield/ Wolfdale/ Conroe/Core 2 Extreme/Core 2 Quad/Core 2 Duo/ Pentium Dual Core/ Celeron Dual Core/ Celeron 4xx processor , FSB 1333/1066/800 MHz. Although it officially suppots the FSB 1333 CPUs, we have no issues running the Intel QX9770 1600 Processor on it. In terms of memory, it supports Dual-channel DDR2 memory architecture of 4 x 240-pin DDR2 DIMM socket support up to 16GB DDR2 800/667 DDR2 SDRAM.

On board are two 2 PCIe 2.0 x16 slots which can operate in a single PCIe x16 or DUal PCIe x 8 for CrossFire. In addition there are 2 x PCI Express x1 slots  and 2 x PCI slots. For storage, the on board ICH 10R also supports 6 x Serial ATAII 3.0Gb/s devices  (Supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 ICH10R). The additional JMB361 supports 1 x IDE channel support + 2 Ultra DMA133/100/66 devices and 1 x eSATA.

Other features include Realtek ALC883 7.1 Channel High Definition Audio codec and Gigabit LAN, Atheros L1 PCIe GigaLAN controller.

The REAR PANEL I/O 1 x PS/2 keyboard & PS/2 mouse connectors
6 x USB ports
1 x RJ45 LAN connector
1 x Audio port
1 x Serial port (COM1)
1 x Externel SATA connector

This board has a MIB BIOS which puts all o/c options in one page. Surprisingly, ECS P45T-A has a wide range for it's FSB, ranging from 200 ~ 700MHz. In addition, CPU voltage adjustable  and Memory voltage adjustable options will also help in overclocking the board.
