Following in AMD’s footsteps, Nvidia has released a new set of beta drivers that are optimized for the best experience on Far Cry 2. By Jose Vilches, TechSpot.com Published: October 22, 2008, 11:06 AM EST According to the company, the GeForce 180.42 beta drivers should provide a performance boost of up to 40 percent in the game, but there are a handful of other useful new features in this release.
In addition to improved performance, this so-called “Big Bang II” driver release (the first one marked the arrival of SLI technology back in 2004) introduces long-overdue support for multi-display SLI, which allows users to configure two, four or six displays depending on their system hardware, and the option for users to dedicate a specific GPU to PhysX calculations.
