In what's beleived to be the first case of it's kind, police have arrested a man in Florida, for using someone else's wireless access point to connect to the internet. He's been arrested on charged of unauthorised access to a computer network. Given that all sorts of nasty things can be carried out over someone else's WiFi connection with little comeback against the actual abusers, this is perhaps not unexpected. In any case, if you run an Access Point, then you should make sure that it's been secured. Being arrested because someone else used your internet connection to download illegal stuff would really suck.
