Former CPT chairman indicted in US for CRT price-fixing

The US Department of Justice has announced a two-count indictment against CY Lin, former chairman and CEO of Taiwan-based LCD panel maker Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT) for his participation in global conspiracies to fix prices of two types of CRTs.

Lin currently is the chairman of another Taiwan-based LCD display maker Jean. Jean today responded to the indictment by posting a statement with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE), in which it said the lawsuit against the chairman will not affect the company's operations. [Comments...]
