AMD released the Athlon64 X2 3800+ yesterday.  It has a price of $354, a clock speed of 2.0 GHz, and 512K of L2 cache per core.  Tech Report took a look at it over here, and they were impressed with the performance and overclockability of the chip.  Still, with Intel's Pentium D 820 selling for $250, AMD needs at least one more chip with a lower selling point.

IBM has published an article on how to migrate web applications from Internet Explorer to Mozilla.  It covers common issues encountered when migrating applications from IE to Mozilla-based browsers, as well as strategies for overcoming the differences between the two browsers.

Bill Gates has decreed that Microsoft must now issue 3,000 patent applications per year.  Seems that it isn't enough for Billy to dominate the desktop software market and be a monopoly unto himself in the desktop O/S market; he wants to own all the patents, too.
