It didn't take long! The first trojan which exploits Sony-BMG's much loathed DRM rootkit has been found. The trojan has been reported by Trend Micro and is being investigated further. The existance of this virus has also been confirmed by BitDefender in Romania.

Sony are already in legal hot water over use of a rootkit in their DRM software which is automatically installed on WIndows PC's when certain copy protected media is played. Rootkits are normally considered to be malware.
