AMD is riding the retail wave

Sales figures, in the USA, for October show that 49.8% of retail PC's sold were AMD based, while 48.5% were Intel machines. AMD was ahead in September, as well. This is quite a leap forward for Advance Micro Devices who are expecting increased profits in 2006.
