IE Patched? Well, sort of!

Microsoft recently released a patch for the "SCOB" virus. This patch closed the hole in IE basically by disabling ADODB streams. This was enough to ensure that the ADODB hole could no longer be exploited by trojans and viruses.

However, Kuperus and http-equiv did a little bit of work, and demonstrated the Microsoft's patch is hardly the panacea everyone really needs. They found that by simply choosing a different ActiveX control, they had a working exploit once again!
