Daily Tech is reporting that "Two men in northern California have filed a class action lawsuit
against ATI for making false claims about HDCP. The men claim that
despite clear definitions in the HDCP specifications, ATI proceeded to
sell video cards with claims such as "HDCP-ready" or "HDCP-compliant"
when the products were not able to output a HDCP-DVI signal." Opera has announced the release of Opera for Devices for the Nintendo Wii Console. "Nintendo is clearly visionary in leading the gaming industry into the new era in gaming, and a wonderful
partner for Opera," says Jon von Tetzchner, CEO, Opera Software. "We are thrilled to expand our partnership
with Nintendo, and work with them to deliver the best gaming experience on the Wii console and the Nintendo
DS." DigiTimes is reporting that Sony's goal of 6 million PS3s being sold by March 2007 may be a bit optimistic, according to several on-line game producers and gaming services providers in Taiwan. The chief issues being cited are pricing of the console, availability of Blu-Ray content, and competitive pressure from Microsoft's XBox360. (Comment in our PS3 discussion thread, here.) As always, thoughts and comments are welcome, in the forums!
