Intel has announced the opening of a new 300mm fabrication plant in Lexip Ireland which is an extension to the existing fab 24. They've named it Fab 24-2 and it will initially be producing 65nm processors on 300mm wafers. This is Intel's first 65nm fab in Europe and cost them about US$2bn to build.
