Heavy demand for the 16GB version of the new Nexus 7 tablet has caught Google out after it expected more customers ordering through Google Play to want the 8GB version
Sources close to Google say the search giant seriously underestimated the demand for the 16GB version of its 7in Nexus 7 tablet, which has sold out from stockists and other sources while demand for the smaller 8GB version remains comparatively low.

Apple has unveiled its latest mobile operating system, iOS6, at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference.
The operating system, which runs on its iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices, will no longer include Google Maps software.

Apple gains injunction on the sale of Samsung's Galaxy Nexus
The Galaxy Nexus phone cannot be sold in the United States after judge Lucy Koh ruled that it infringes on some of Apple's patents.
Critics have suggested that Apple is using its patents to aggressively damage its competitors - in this case Google and Samsung.

Now with a 10.1-inch, 1920 x 1200 display
Acer has begun shipping its new Iconia Tab A700 loaded with Android 4.0 a.k.a Ice Cream Sandwich. This is their first tablet to feature a display which is capable of playing back full HD video at 1080p resolution - one good reason to take a closer look at this device, and perhaps the only remarkable feature.
Other features include front and rear cameras, an NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad Core Mobile Processor clocked at 1.3GHz, 1GB of DDR2 system memory, and 32GB of internal storage.
The A700 is currently priced at $449.99 on Acer's own website.

RIM's Blackberry 10 software was due out later this year, but RIM has announced that the date has been put back to early 2013.
The troubled telephone maker has just reported a $513m loss on a turnover of $2.8bn, and plans to shed a further 5,000 employees as part of cost-reduction measures.
