The electromagnetic software, Simbeor 2007, has been in gestation for the past year. It allows system designers to accurately generate transmission lines and via holes models for data rates of 100Gb/s and beyond.

The software package was developed by a research team in Novosibirsk, Russia.

Siberiam's founder Yuriy Shlepnev developed a set of algorithms for 3D electromagnetic simulation of ICs for a doctoral dissertation. Shlepnev started Seattle-based Simberian after spending the last six years as principal engineer at Mentor Graphics Corp. (Redmond, Wash.) where he was leading development of electromagnetic software for simulation of high-frequency and high-speed digital circuits.
