The Sellaband website allows unsigned muscians to upload their music tracks, so that listeners can become "believers" by investing $10 or more towards the cost of producing an album.

So far, four bands have made it to the $50,000 dollar mark, meaning they get to have their record produced in a studio. Those who put money in to the pot, will get to share in any profit the music album makes.

The concept of the Sellaband site was created by Pim Betist, a music lover, and Johan Vosmeijer, who formerly worked for Sony BMG.
