Pop sensation Sir Elton John has remarkably ranted on how he wants the internet to be closed down completely.

According to the very successful pop singer, the cyberworld is lowering the standards on music, and music originality is not what it used to be. Claiming that music is an art being destroyed by the internet, Sir Elton says that "“The internet has stopped people from going out and being with each other, creating stuff. Instead they sit at home and make their own records, which is sometimes OK but it doesn’t bode well for long-term artistic vision."

Obviously, no-one is going to follow through with Sir Elton's request to shut down the internet, because that would just be plain silly. But what do you think about the cyber world and it's effect on original music? Do you think good music is hard to come by because of people recording from home? Or do you think that originality is being more widespread, since music creation and publication is easier?
