Software Problems Costing U.S. Military Billions

According to this article at Government Computer News, bugs in software are costing the military (and hence the tax payers) billions of dollars in project costs and cost overruns.  These figures come from an annual study of the status of major weapons systems aquisition programs that is published by the Government Accountability Office (GAO).  Every year this report notes cost overruns and schedule delays in major projects, and most of those are now the result of software glitches.
